TOP 5 DOG FRIENDLY PLACES TO VISIT ON THE WIRRAL
Our guest blogger Kelsey Salisbury tells all on her favourite dog friendly places to hang with her pooch Molly, on the Wirral...
"If you’re like me and can’t stand to leave your 4-legged friend at home whilst you socialise,
there are plenty of places on the Wirral that are dog friendly. Here are the best places you
can go, without leaving your pooch behind."
Serving coffee and treats in the day and cocktails and pizzas at night, Elephant is a perfect socialising spot. Located on Parkgate front, the picturesque walk along the Parade makes the whole experience of visiting Elephant Lounge special. Dogs are welcome towards the end of the building and in the lovely sheltered seating area. ‘Music Monday’ is my favourite night of the week. This place is a dog owners dream!
BLOOMING SKULL COFFEE
Blooming Skull Coffee has recently become a popular choice for Molly and I to grab a coffee or go for lunch. This place is a hidden gem for those living in Port Sunlight, offering an amazing range of vegetarian and vegan foods and cakes along with a huge range of drinks. My favourite part about this coffee shop is its commitments to being plastic-free!
THE REFRESHMENT ROOMS
The Refreshment Rooms is a restaurant situated in Rock Ferry and offers lovely comfort food. This place is definitely more of a restaurant scene/vibe and is perfect for when you’re super hungry and in need of some hearty food.
I would recommend booking in advance and let them know you’ll be with your dog so they can give you the best spot!
FLISSY'S COFFEE SHOP AT GJ'S
As warmer weather approaches, GJ’s café is becoming the place to be. Located in Thurstaston, the walk and cycling areas that surround are perfect for a day in the sun. GJ’s offers a range of foods, coffee and ice creams, making it the ideal spot to stop and relax in the sun. They are completely dog friendly and have an adorable water station.
CLAREMONT FARM CAFE
Claremont Farm is a lovely spot to visit with your dog - my favourite time to visit is for breakfast. The surrounding fields and farm animals makes this place special. Molly was excited to meet the piglets! There is a dedicated area at the back of the café where dogs are welcome.
A big thanks to Kelsey, & her lovely Cocker Spaniel Molly, for sharing their favourite dog friendly spots on the Wirral.
